Updated information with local drop-off!
RIPE: 3D Anthology Gallery Exhibition: One more time - call for the xerox show! Local drop-off address: Ada Books. Thanks so much to those who have already sent work. The show goes up on the evening of Wednesday, July 30th, so anything that makes it to Ada Books by 5PM is possible and mailing submissions still could work (previous PO Box or the Ada Books address below):
RIPE: 3D Anthology Gallery Exhibition: Comics and zines are mass-produced for and by small, writhing masses. Xerox pressings from the RI Independent Publishing Expo in August will paper The Reading Room in the AS220 Project Space disposable clusterfreaks glory.
Anyone who would like to participate (RIPE exhibitor or not) is invited to contribute one or more pages of xeroxes! This can represent a whole story of a comic, one part, or something else entirely - images and b/w are recommended. Submissions are non-returnable and will stay up throughout August.
You can drop them off at Ada Books, 717 Westminster St., Providence, RI 02903 by no later than Wednesday, July 30th at 5 PM, with a note that they’re for RIPE or CC. Ada’s hours are M-T 2-6:30, W-F 10-6:30, S-S 12-5.
Southern New England Tiny Print Encounter: 3-inch-by-3-inch print exchange/swap/show, open to all makers of printed matter! The swap is one night only: Friday August 1st, from 4-8 pm, in the new AS220 Labs Gallery on Lucie Way off Mathewson St. Bring your 3”x3” prints (any medium, variable or precisely multiple, open or limited edition), and hang one on the wall, then trade and share the rest with other printmakers from around the region and the country. AS220’s adjacent Community Printshop (http://www.as220.org/printshop/) will also be open for tours, info, and demonstrations. Prints will be displayed on the gallery walls through the end of the month. This is organized by Ian Cozzens of Secret Door Projects.
